The Resource Center will be operating irregular hours for the foreseeable future. Funding cuts have led to staffing restraints. Fortunately, we are able to continue lending materials as long as we work together to make arrangements by scheduling pick-ups. Please contact Adam Hochstetler via phone at 614.220.8572 x204 or 614.645.0266, or preferably via email at ahochstetler@prevcouncil.org to request materials in advance. He can leave them for scheduled pick-up at the Columbus Public Health’s information desk. Materials can then be returned to the drop box located on the porch of the Columbus Public Health building facing Parsons Ave. or at the information desk.
Our Goal:
Columbus Public Health and the Prevention Council of Central Ohio are cooperating to improve the access of the community to current and accurate health information.
The Resource Center strives to:
· Increase access to correct health information
· Improve the public’s ability to make informed decisions on health topics
· Proliferate health resources for use in the community
· Share resources among groups to limit the duplication of efforts
· Provide a health library for people and professionals in the community
Scope:
The Community Health Resource Center emphasizes resources concerning nutrition, physical health, parenting, mental health and the prevention of tobacco use as well as a variety of other subjects on general health. It also includes an extensive library of information regarding the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.

Notice for Teachers: The Resource Center will no longer be sending materials via a pony service to the schools. Each borrower will be responsible for picking up and returning their borrowed materials on an individual basis.
Please call or email ahead to make arrangements to check out or pick up materials when staff may be unavailable.

Monday - Thursday 9:00am to 1:00pm
Friday CLOSED
* Please note the Center will be closed for certain holidays, lunch breaks, and additional times when staff are unavailable.
